How To Buy Perfect Swiss Rolex Fake Watches UK

Many watch collections begin and end with Rolex. A little knowledge goes a long way when it comes to collecting the world’s most legendary cheap Rolex replica watches.

No watch brand has shaped contemporary watchmaking and collecting culture more than Rolex. In a little over a century, those five letters have become synonymous with top-tier Swiss mechanical watchmaking the world over, transcending circles of watch-loving connoisseurs and seeping into contemporary culture at every level. A historic emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and design has made the luxury watchmaker into the world’s most popular, boasting extensive waiting lists for Rolex Submariners, Datejusts, Daytonas and all their most popular models – unless, of course, you buy your Rolex or on the secondary market. Sotheby’s however is on hand to help, with a team of global specialists handpicking a wide range of AAA UK Rolex fake watches for sale at auction around the world, as well as through its extensive online marketplace.

So it should come as no surprise that watches from every era of Rolex’s history, from the earliest days of the 20th century through to this year’s hottest releases, are highly collectible, inspire endless scholarship and push enthusiasts to the very limits of what watch collecting can be. A little bit of history, an overview of the brand’s most important creations and a few collector tips from Sotheby’s are all it takes to confidently jump into the fray yourself.

The History of Rolex and the Invention of Modern Swiss Watchmaking

The history of Rolex starts in 1905, when 24-year-old Hans Wilsdorf founded a watch distribution company in London. Pocket replica Rolex watches for sale were still the order of the day, but Wilsdorf saw the writing on the wall and became an early advocate for and seller of wrist watches. A few years later he came up with the name “Rolex” on a morning carriage ride – as the legend goes – and soon Rolex was making some of the earliest wristwatches to be observatory-certified chronometers, among the strictest accuracy standards of the time.

Wilsdorf’s firm would go on to pioneer a number of innovations whose impact on 20th-century watchmaking cannot be overstated. In 1926, Rolex unveiled the Oyster case, with its screw-down crown and unmatched water resistance. In 1931, the Perpetual automatic winding system was introduced, alleviating the need to manually wind those watches. In 1945, the Rolex Datejust revolutionized the use of a date display in a wristwatch meant for everyday wear. And this is just the beginning.

The 1950s through the ’70s are considered by many collectors to be the original golden age of Rolex watchmaking. It was during this period that genuine icons like the Submariner (released 1953), GMT-Master (1954), Explorer (1963) and Daytona (1963) were all introduced to the market. These are now considered the bread-and-butter of Rolex collecting, no matter what era of luxury AAA Rolex copy watches you’re talking about. Quirkier models like the Rolex Milgauss (1956) and Rolex Explorer II (1971) were also released, and though it took longer for them to find their audiences, they now have die-hard fans of their own.

As watchmaking continued to improve in the 1980s and the ’90s, particularly with regards to the use of materials and computer-aided design and production, evolutions of these watches emerged. The so-called five-digit references – like the reference 16710 Rolex GMT-Master II, the reference 16610 and 14060 Rolex Submariners and reference 16520 Rolex Daytona – introduced new movements, nonradioactive luminous material for dials, sapphire crystals and more. These are, in some ways, the first truly modern top Rolex replica watches, and over the last few years they have become every bit as collectible as their older cousins.

“The stories that these watches hold is the source of endless inspiration,” says Vincent Brasesco, VP, Director of Digital Strategy and Specialist in Sotheby’s watch department. “There was an incredible ad Rolex ran years ago, saying, ‘It doesn’t just tell time. It tells history.’ That really sums it up. What other watch has been worn by astronauts, athletes, explorers and icons of the big screen alike? You and I will most likely never salvage a shipwreck, but we can own the watch that did. That’s the magic.”

The Most Iconic Rolex Models

Rolex Submariner Replica Watches

Most instantly recognizable is the wholesale fake Rolex Submariner watches, or Sub. In many ways, this watch has served as the archetype for the entire category of dive watches, past and present. A tool watch designed for underwater use by military and recreational divers, the Submariner features highly legible hands and lume plots, accompanied by a rotating timing bezel. Black remains the most popular Submariner color, but a number of colored dials and bezels have emerged over the years, including green (Kermit, Starbucks, Hulk) and blue (Bluesy, Smurf). This distinction also points to another important tradition for any Rolex buyer to be aware of – namely the use of nicknames to identify their favorite models.

Less than a decade after the model was introduced, Sean Connery’s personal Rolex Submariner appeared on the wrist of James Bond in 1962’s Dr. No, cementing its place in the pantheon of popular culture. Early examples, such as the reference 6538 sported by 007 (nicknamed the Big Crown by aficionados), are highly collectible and can fetch huge prices on the market. But part of the Submariner’s enduring appeal is that every version, from these “holy grail” pieces through the currently available reference 124060, carries the same spirit. There’s truly a Submariner for every collection.

Holy Grails: Early Submariners, such as references 6538 and 6200, feature larger winding crowns and slightly bolder designs, hence their Big Crown and King Sub nicknames, respectively.

Modern Classics: For those looking for a perfect middle ground between a vintage and modern Sub, a neovintage piece like the reference 16610 offers old-school design with contemporary materials and build quality.

Next Generation: The current no-date Submariner, reference 124060, has new case dimensions, a cutting-edge movement and a miles-long waitlist at retailers, making it instantly collectible and highly desirable at auction.

Rolex GMT-Master Fake Watches

Descending a bit deeper into the collecting rabbit hole, one finds the GMT-Master, with its colorful 24-hour bezel for tracking another time zone. (The blue and red bezel earned the original its nickname, Pepsi, but you’ll also find the Coke, Sprite, Root Beer and some non-soda-themed options, like the Batman and Batgirl.) As you move across the sky, you simply twist the bezel to line up the correct hour with the 24-hour hand, and you’ll be ready before wheels-down. This GMT (or Greenwich Mean Time) complication is a Rolex invention created for Pan American World Airways, whose pilots needed a time-keeping tool for long-haul flights. These Rolex super clone watches for men were present on some of the earliest transcontinental Pan Am flights, including the historic first flight from New York to Moscow in 1968, and are every bit as emblematic of the jet age as New York City’s TWA Terminal and the Concorde itself.

Holy Grails: The first Rolex GMT was the reference 6542, which featured a blue and red Bakelite bezel insert for the 24-hour scale. Because these are slightly radioactive, they were swapped for aluminum bezel inserts during service, making originals extremely rare.

Modern Classics: The reference 16760 introduced the GMT-Master II, which added a jumping hour hand that lets the wearer more easily track a third timezone (one via the main hour hand, one via the adjustable 24-hour hand and one via the bezel).

Next Generation: The Batman (reference 116710BLNR) is one of the most desirable modern Swiss movements replica Rolex GMT-Master II watches, with its black and blue bezel, and either Oyster or Jubilee bracelet.

Replica Rolex Day-Date Watches

The Day-Date is a different sort of China Rolex fake watches site, a bit more dressed-up and buttoned-down, but no less sturdily crafted. It’s hard to believe that when it was introduced in 1956 this was the very first watch to show the date along with a fully spelled out day of the week, but it’s yet another world first Rolex can add to its very long list.

There are countless Day-Date variations available, in all manner of steel, gold and platinum combinations, with myriad dial options. Any Swiss made Rolex Day-Date replica watches (or Day Date, as you’ll find it commonly spelled) within a collection is therefore immensely expressive and personal. And the number of world leaders, movie stars and athletes who have sported them over the years is too high to imagine. There’s a reason its nickname is the President – a yellow-gold Day-Date has famously graced the wrists of presidents from Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon to Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton, along with those of countless other global political leaders.

Holy Grails: Because there are so many variants of the Day-Date, the most collectible pieces are those with provenance, whether that’s in the form of a special-order dial (like those with the Khanjar on them) or a famous original owner. Quality and uniqueness are king.

Modern Classics: From the 1970s through the mid-90s, Rolex produced small batches of Day-Dates with brightly coloured enamel dials. These Stella Dial watches are a collecting niche all their own.

Next Generation: While traditionally a 36mm-diameter watch, the Day-Date is now available in a larger 40mm size, and Rolex has been creating lots of interesting dial variants at this scale that will surely become collector favourites as they age.

Fake Rolex Daytona Watches

But the king of Rolex collecting is undoubtedly the Cosmograph Daytona, first introduced in 1963 and now known as just the Daytona. A chronograph with three subdials and a tachymeter on the bezel, the Daytona was designed for race car drivers (it’s named after the 24 Hours of Daytona race in Florida) and today represents the pinnacle of 1:1 quality replica Rolex sport watches. Today the Daytona is perhaps the most sought-after luxury sports watch globally. This is particularly true for the white-dialed Rolex Daytona Panda, easily one of the most recognizable watches in the world.

Collectors enjoy obsessing over the tiniest details, with a subtle change in a dial font or a hallmark on the case back sometimes being the difference between a relatively common watch and a once-in-a-lifetime find. For many collectors, the pinnacle of the model is the Paul Newman Daytona, defined by its exotic dial with small squares on the sub-dials and so-named because of the configuration famously worn by the actor and philanthropist himself. It is the perfect coming together of watch collecting and popular culture.

Holy Grails: An immensely desirable yellow-gold, Rolex Daytona Paul Newman “John Player Special” (reference 6241) holds the special distinction of being the most expensive Rolex fake watches paypal ever sold at auction by Sotheby’s.

Modern Classics: In 1988, Rolex introduced the references 16520, 16523 and 16528 Daytonas, all of which utilized modified Zenith El Primero chronograph movements (a first for Rolex). These movements would remain in use until circa 2000 and the cheap Rolex replica watches can be spotted by their five-digit reference numbers beginning with 165XX.

Next Generation: The reference 126529LN Le Mans Daytona was created to celebrate the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race. It is white gold, the dial pays homage to the Paul Newman dials of old and it was produced for just one year, from 2023-24. This all combines to make it the most collectible modern Daytona.

And this all barely scratches the surface of what Rolex offers contemporary collectors from its nearly 120-year history. See, for example, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual, which despite its classic styling is perhaps Rolex’s most playful line – it features cheerful colors (such as the yellow dial, no longer in production) and whimsical dials. From the also-iconic Datejust to lesser-known models like the Rolex Yacht-Master and the Rolex Sky-Dweller, there is always something more to explore.

Top Swiss Made Replica Rolex Watches UK To Invest In Today

Prices have been falling for almost two years for new and used watches on the secondary market, but that does not mean there are no longer profits to be made if the right AAA Rolex replica watches are bought at their recommended retail prices.

Thankfully the days of flippers making massive instant returns are fading, but the watch-loving public is still influenced by the resale value of any purchase, which is why Rolex continues to rein supreme with rigged waiting lists at authorised dealers pushing people towards grey marketeers selling their UK luxury Rolex fake watches at inflated prices.

As we do when considering the purchase of an expensive car, the likely resale value is rarely ignored.

On average, perfect replica Rolex watches command a 20.3% secondary market premium, while Patek Philippe watches sell for 39% over retail and Audemars Piguet models can be resold for with a 14% return.

Outside the big three, the vast majority of watches are sold at a discount on the secondary market.

But there are big variations within the Rolex portfolio so we need to drill into a report by Morgan Stanley and WatchCharts to find which best Rolex copy watches hold their value best in today’s market.

Rolex Submariner Replica Watches

Starting off with the cheap Rolex Submariner fake watches, an iconic dive watch that’s been a favourite among watch enthusiasts for decades. Its timeless design, functionality, and strong investment potential make it a must-have for any serious watch collector.

Across eight Submariner references investigated for the Morgan Stanley report, the model offers a 24.2% return on investment. Its average price at the end of 2023 was $23,038, 5.8% lower than a year ago.

Rolex GMT Master Fake Watches

Next up is the Swiss movements replica Rolex GMT Master II watches. Known for its dual time zone feature, this watch is a favourite amongst travellers and businessmen alike.

Averaging out the secondary market price for nine GMT Master references, Morgan Stanley finds it the best performing collection among all Rolexes with prices 48.2% over their recommended retail prices.

The average price for a GMT Master is quoted at $29,421, which is 7.5% lower than the end of 2022.

Replica Rolex Daytona Watches

The 1:1 wholesale Rolex Daytona fake watches, a watch that’s synonymous with motor racing, has been the top choice among traders for a decade, thanks in part to the surge in popularity it enjoyed after Paul Newman’s Daytona sold for a world record price of $17.8 Million in 2017.

No model saw its price rise furthest or fall fastest either side of a peak in the second quarter of 2022, but it still trades at a 40.8% premium over retail in today’s market.

Fake Rolex Datejust Watches

Swiss online replica Rolex’s sportier watches have been in the crosshairs for investors in recent years, but the classic Rolex Datejust in all its iterations, remains a workhorse for The Crown and a solid bet for collectors who just want their watches to hold their value.

Datejusts do better than just hold their value, according to Morgan Stanley, they are still trading at a 15.4% premium over retail prices across 45 references in the study.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Replica Watches

Another volume player in the Rolex catalogue is the humble Oyster Perpetual family of automatics, which was updated with a slew of sizes and colours in 2020, some of which (particularly the pale blue pieces) turned into money printing machines for flippers.

Morgan Stanley looks at the average prices of 25 references in its study, and puts the current average price at $7,860, 32.4% over retail. The average price has dropped by 6% over the past 12 months.

In case you think that buying any high quality Rolex super clone watches is money in the bank, there are collections that are now being traded at a discount to their retail prices.

According to the Morgan Stanley / WatchCharts study, you will lose 1.4% when you walk a Yacht-Master out of a Rolex authorised dealer’s door.

Sea-Dwellers do even worse, trading today at a 2.7% discount on the secondary market.

Overall, Rolex prices are being traded on the secondary market for at an average premium of 20.3% over retail prices.

But consumers should be aware that any professional trader will buy watches for considerably less than these stated market prices. They need to make their own margins when they take on any timepiece, which means the overwhelming majority of best quality Rolex replica watches cannot be traded in for any profit at all these days.

It is worth reminding ourselves, investing in replica Rolex watches site is not just about buying a timepiece, but about investing in a piece of history. The right model can serve as a valuable asset that appreciates over time while reliably telling the time for decades.

The Newly-Released 2024 UK Top Rolex Replica Watches Price List Shows A More Reasonable Yearly Increase

Without surprises, the arrival of a new year also means subsequent price changes for brands (and this isn’t limited to watch brands, but you’ll find these in multiple other industries). Last year already, we published the newly released price list of Rolex, which showed a rather impressive increase in the RRP of most models, with precious metal and two-tone luxury Rolex replica watches being particularly affected – something we also did in 2022, but then steel models were mostly impacted by this increase. As we’re entering 2024, Rolex has already updated its website with new prices for all references. However, compared to previous years, we might have some good news… or should I say less disappointing news. If we can’t avoid the increase in prices, it is however more reasonable than in previous years, as the 2024 Rolex price list shows, on average, a rise of about 4% of the RRP.

Method: to simplify this 2024 Rolex price list and to have a reliable comparative background to Rolex prices in 2023, we’ll be using the same method as previous years, meaning a year-on-year (YOY) comparison – January 2023 vs. January 2024 – and with the prices in Euro, on the French market, and including VAT. This allowed us to use the article we published last year as a precise comparison, using the same market, currency and models. The only exceptions to note are the 1:1 UK Rolex fake watches that were presented at Watches & Wonders in March 2023. For these recent models (Cosmograph Daytona, Yacht-Master 42 Titanium, Explorer 40, Updated Sky-Dweller, 1908 Collection, Yellow Gold and Rolesor GMT Master II), we’re using the price at the time of their introduction. We’ve also noticed identical price evolutions in the UK and US markets.

In 2023, Rolex started the year, like many other brands from the watch industry (and from other industries), with a rather significant price correction. Most of the models have been impacted by a rise of about 7 to 8% of the price, except Rolesor models (two-tone, steel-and-gold), showing an increase of about 11%. The economic situation in late 2022 and early 2023, with a strong increase in production costs and other expenses (such as the price of energy or raw materials), somehow justified this situation.

Looking at the wider image, according to the OECD, “the global economy continues to confront the challenges of both low growth and elevated inflation, with a mild slowdown (in 2024), mainly as a result of the necessary monetary policy tightening over the past two years. Inflation has declined from last year’s peaks.” The situation isn’t ideal yet but it seems that inflation isn’t growing as fast as it used to in 2023 and prices are rising less quickly. Also, if we’re looking more closely, the watch market isn’t as prolific now as it’s been in 2022 and early 2023. Even if the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry reported that “exports reached their highest-ever monthly level in November (2023)” it also reports a “more moderate rate of growth since the summer.” Also, second-hand prices have corrected and returned to more acceptable levels, with a few exceptions of course.

Rolex being Rolex, it remains a highly hermetic company that doesn’t disclose its sales or production figures (presiding over Montres Rolex SA is a foundation, the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, which owns and controls Rolex to this day, and there is no requirement to disclose financial statements under the law.) We can’t precisely claim that perfect replica Rolex watches had a more prolific year in 2023 than in 2022, however, several experts such as Vontobel or Morgan Stanley still indicate in their estimates some growing figures. However, the word about easier availability of some references is spreading…

With this situation in mind, it’s time to look at the 2024 Rolex price list. Before we move into the details for each collection, it must be said that this year’s correction is more moderate than it’s been in the past. On average, prices are up 4% with no distinction between materials or models – which wasn’t the case in 2022 and 2023. Let’s now take a look at the detailed 2023 Rolex price list per collection.

Cosmograph Daytona

The case of Rolex’s star chronograph is a bit special since the collection was entirely revamped in March 2023, with best Rolex copy watches starting to be delivered in the second half of the year. Thus, we have to compare what’s comparable, and we’re looking here at the evolution of the price of the 126xxx generation. Indeed, when the collection was introduced, it carried a slight price increase compared to the previous 116xxx generation – a minimal one of 300 euros on a steel version (EUR 14,650 for the 116500LN in January 2023, EUR 14,950 for the 126500LN in March 2023). Overall, the price of the 126xxx sees an increase of about 4%, with a more controlled rise of the platinum edition, while the Rolesor models are a bit more impacted… but surely not as much as in 2023. Also, the Paul Newman-Inspired white gold “Le Mans” reference 126529LN, despite being released later in 2023, is equally impacted.

Submariner and Submariner Date

Whatever the version – date or no date – or the material used, the Submariner collection sees its prices increase by around 4%. No evolution is to be seen in the collection, which is the same as it was when this dive watch was updated in 2020. We can’t note this year the same difference between the steel and the Rolesor version, which was particularly affected by the price increase last year.

GMT Master II

Following an increase of about 7% last year for the steel models – Batman (blue-black BLNR), Pepsi (blue-red BLRO) and Sprite/Destro (green-black VTNR) – all these references are mildly affected by the evolution of prices. Two new models were presented in 2023 at Watches & Wonders, the GRNR versions with yellow gold or yellow Rolesor cases and bracelets. Despite their recent introduction, these two models are equally impacted by the increase in prices.

SEA-DWELLER, DEEPSEA and Deepsea Challenge

Even though there was no evolution in this collection this year, it has to be noted that Rolex’s most impressive dive watch, the Deepsea Challenge, was unveiled in late 2022. As such, it was not impacted by the evolution of the price in early 2023. As expected, this situation has changed now and the gigantic 11,000-metre water-resistant watch also sees its price rise, however from a fairly restrained 2%. The classic 43mm Sea-Dweller and the Deepsea are impacted by the same 4 to 5% rise, as the rest of the high quality replica Rolex watches.

Explorer and Explorer II

As part of what probably was Rolex’s most prolific collection ever (the 2023 range counted no fewer than 9 new sub-collections) was a new Explorer, in 40mm, to sit alongside the vintage-inspired 36mm versions. No surprise for these adventure-themed Swiss movements fake Rolex Explorer watches, which all see their prices rise in the 4% range. The same can be said about the Explorer II.

Yacht-Master and Yacht-Master II

The situation for the Yacht-Master and Yacht-Master II collection has long been different from the rest of the professional collection. Already in 2022 and 2023, we’ve seen disparities in the evolution of prices. This year again, some of the references (YM in Rolesium – steel with platinum bezel) are only impacted by a 2% increase. On the other hand, the Rolesor and YG Yacht-Master II are some of the Rolex replica watches online site with the strongest increase in price this year. The recently introduced Titanium 42mm Yacht-Master is impacted in the same vein as most models.

Air King and Sky-Dweller

In last year’s article, this section also included the Milgauss, which was discontinued in 2023. Now, whether we look at the Air King 126900, a relatively recent model, or the discreetly updated Sky-Dweller of 2023 (new dials, upgraded movement), the increase of the price is in the 4% range, whatever the material used. For the latter, being a model launched in March 2023, we’re comparing the prices at the time of the introduction and the prices now, yet the new model didn’t come with a price increase at the time of its presentation.

Datejust 41 and Datejust 36

Cheap super clone Rolex’s most classic watches, the Datejust, has not been updated in 2023 and the collection remains as wide as it used to be in the past – there are well over 300 versions listed on the brand’s website, taking into account all possible materials, diameters, dial colours, bezel styles and bracelet types. For this reason, we’re only listing here some of the classic references – steel or Rolesor – to give a broad idea of the situation in this collection.

Day-Date 40 and Day-Date 36

Another classic and extremely large collection of Rolex, the Day-Date is exclusively available in precious metals (gold or platinum). Hundreds of combinations are available and for this reason, we’re only listing here the most classic versions, which are all affected by a price increase of about 4%, much less than the evolution of 2023.

OYSTER PERPETUAL 41, 36, 34, 31 AND 28

Last year, Rolex’s entry-level collection, the Oyster Perpetual, faced a massive 11% price increase. Available in no fewer than 5 different sizes, the collection now undergoes a slightly smaller price correction than the rest of the range. The much-discussed Celebration dial presented this year faces the same increase and its price is the same as a model with a flat, monochromatic dial.

Perpetual 1908

A new collection presented in March 2023 and the successor to the top Swiss Rolex Cellini replica watches, the Perpetual 1908 is the most elegant model in Rolex’s catalogue. It also included a brand-new movement, refined decorations and a sapphire back. Knowing its recent introduction, we’re comparing here the prices at the time of its launch and the prices of January 2024.
